He was married to Mary A Manly (1889–1973).
A mill work estimator for Miller Manufacturing Company and living at 919 North 14th Street in Nashville, he was 63 years old and married when he died at Mid-State Baptist Hospital on February 23, 1952 of valvular heart disease. Burial was two days later in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville.
