Joyce Bruington age 88, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Petersburg. Interment will follow at the Petersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to service from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30p.m., Monday, June 3, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Petersburg. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore Rose Funeral Home of Idalou.

Joyce was born February 16, 1931, in Abernathy, Texas, to Clifford and Luzelle (Belew) Cribbs. After graduating from high school, she attended Beauty School in Lubbock and made her living as a beautician. Joyce loved going to church, taking long walks and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed dancing and she did so as often as possible, while she was able to.

She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, daughter Sandra Bruington Spencer; and sons, Landria, Bart and Chad Bruington; grandchildren, Will and Shelly Snook, Kim and Vondal Burnett, Tiffany Bruington, Jeremy Bruington, Misty and Tony Flores, Mark Bruington, Monte Bruington, Savanah, Lane and True Bruington, Kailee and Nathan Law, Kinzee and Jake Detten, and Sierra Bruington; and her sister-in-law Carol Cribbs of Idaho: and 16 great-grandchildren.
