Roger Dale Straw, age 86 of Nebraska City died May 28, 2019 at CHI St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebraska City. Roger was born December 20, 1932 in Peru, the son of Harry and Hazel (DeHart) Straw. Roger lived in Nebraska City most of his life and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nebraska City. He previously worked as a janitor at the Nebraska City Junior High School and had owned and operated Straw Sanitation until his retirement. Roger is survived by his son, Don Straw of Syracuse; daughter, Susan Ward of Nebraska City; step sons, Ronnie Straw of Shenandoah, IA and Lonnie Hutchinson of Lincoln; step daughter, Vicki Skinner of Shenandoah, IA; special friend, Linda Major of Nebraska City; brothers, Bob Straw and Henry Straw, both of Nebraska City; many other relatives and friends. Roger was preceded in death by his parents; three wives, Charlotte, Minnie and Sharon; daughter, Mary Scott; son, Gene Straw and granddaughter, Stephanie.
