I met Julia when we both attended Head Start classes in Vancouver, WA. Our families were very close when we grew up. We spent lots of time at their home and went to many community events together like the Vancouver Sausage Festival. Because of Julia, I was able to play soccer. Whenever she signed up for a team my mom would sign me up too. She had an infectious smile. At the time of her death she lived in Atlanta Georgia and worked for the military training dogs. The day before her divorce was final her soon-to-be exhusband Donell King Sr. shot her once in the head then went into the room where his two-year-old son, Donell Jr., was sleeping and shot him to death. Donell King Sr. then turned the gun on himself. Julia and Donell Jr.'s bodies where flown back to Vancouver, WA where her parents Donald and Patricia Bailey made the burial arrangements. Julia is also survived by her parents, an older sister, LeAnn and an older brother, Don.
