Polly was the daughter of Tiger and Sallie (Phillips) Tadpole, citizens of the Cherokee Nation. She was originally buried in the Tadpole family cemetery that overlooked the home of her parents, but was later moved when the Corps of Engineers built the Fort Gibson Dam. This stone was put in place by the Corps of Engineers and the wrong name is on the stone. It should read Polly, not Molly.
