Ramona L. Rehfeld, 88, of Redfield, SD, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019, at the Eastern Star Home in Redfield. Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, May 30, 2019, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Redfield. Interment followed at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Redfield.

Ramona Leonarda Lutter was born January 2, 1931, to John and Mary (Grunski) Lutter. She grew up on the family farm southwest of Redfield, the youngest of nine children. She attended rural country school, Redfield Public School, and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Mitchell, SD. She received a teaching degree at Southern State College and taught at four country schools in Spink County.

In 1952, she married Lloyd Hansen. To this union, four sons were born and raised on the farm. She later married Alvin Rehfeld of Warner, SD. She worked for B.I.A. in Aberdeen, SD, Omaha, NE, and Wilmar, MN. After retirement, they moved to Mesa, AZ. They loved to travel during their retirement. After Alvin passed away, she moved back to South Dakota to be closer to her children and grandchildren. When her health started to fail, she moved to the Eastern Star Nursing Home. She enjoyed visiting with people, decorating for the holidays, old movies, John Wayne, and her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Ramona is survived by her son: Mario Hansen of Redfield and his children: Nichole (San) Chhen of Sioux Falls, SD; Adam (Jordann) Hansen of Redfield and Eric (Rachel) Hansen of Sioux Falls; son Terry (Brenda) Hansen of Redfield and their children: Susan (Jason) Gaulrapp of Watertown, SD and Jordan (Brenna) Hansen of Redfield; son David (Anita) Hansen of Beverly Hills, CA and her son Keith Snarey of Alaska; and son Darcy Hansen of Monument, CO and his children: Austin Hansen and Alaina Hansen, both of Monument, CO. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Savannah, Siah, and Noah Chhen; Carter and Callen Hansen; Avery and Harper Hansen; Deklynn and McKynlee Gaulrapp; and Jordan Snarey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings, her husbands, grandson Justin Hansen, great-grandchild baby Hansen, and step-grandson Wesley Pardee.
