Mrs. Lula M. Mahoney, 59, 615 Elizabeth, died in St. Luke's Hospital Jan 1, 1948 after a year's illness.
Lula Mae Austin was born May 13, 1888 in Taberg, the daughter of Charles H. and Mary Washburn Austin. She was married to Grover C. Mahoney in Williamstown September 30, 1907. He died July 1944. They lived in Westdale and moved to Utica in 1915. In 1937 they moved to Yorkville but returned to Utica a few years ago. Surviving are one son, Edmond Mahoney of Utica and one sister, Mrs. Flossie Bartholomew , Vernon. one grandson, four nephews, and one niece. The funeral will be from the Howard H. Wells Funeral Home at 100 Main, Whitesboro and 2pm tomorrow. The Reverend Cecil Taylor, pastor of St. Luke's Episcopal Church will officiate. The body will be placed in the receiving vault in Grand View Cemetery, Whitesboro.
