Mrs. Marguerite "Jean" Achterhof of Muskegon, age 78, passed away Friday, September 13, 2002, at DeBoer Nursing Home.

She was born January 27, 1924, in Muskegon, Michigan to LeRoy and Margaret (Krupp) Hackey. She was a lifetime member of Orchard View Congregational Church and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Polar Bears.

She preceded in death by her husband, Marvin "Mike" in 1999; parents, LeRoy and Margaret; brother, Jack Hackey; sister, Barbara Forrest; half-brother, Martin Madison.

Surviving are her 3 children, Lee (Ruth Ann) Achterhof of Clearwater, Floria, Mark (Barbara) Achterhof of Muskegon, and Todd (Ellen) Achterhof of Muskegon and their 6 children; brother, Jerry Hackey of Muskegon; half-brother, Harold Madison of Lake, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 17, at 11:00 a.m. at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel, 1983 E. Keating with Rev. Daniel Rudd officiating.

Visitation will be Monday, September 16, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
