Newbury, NH-Egbert H. "Al" Albro, 94, of Mountain Road, died Saturday, January 19, 2018 after a brief illness.
Al was born in Derby, CT the son of Egbert H. and Anna (Johns) Albro.
He was a longtime Newbury resident who served on the boards of Selectmen and Planning . With his wife, Stella, they owned and operated The Lake Sunapee Trading Post, A & S Mobil and the Newbury Servicenter.
Al was also a 50 year member of King Hiram Masonic Lodge #12 AF & AM of Shelton, CT and was a WWII Navy Veteran.
He was predeceased by Stella, his wife of 65 years; a son, John; a brother, Frank and sister, Anita. Members of his surviving family are Thomas and Regina Albro, Edward Albro, Clifford Albro all of Newbury, NH; Barbara Sanders of Lempster, NH; a grandson, Thomas Albro, Jr.; nieces and nephews.
Services will be private and a burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Newbury, NH in the spring.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
