Mr. Allen was fatally injured Saturday morning in a tractor-truck accident, three miles west of Hale on State Route J.
Mr. Allen, a son of Edward P. Allen and Verbie (Thrailkill) Allen, was born Dec. 24, 1923, at Lebanon, Mo. He married Joyce Patterson on Jan. 28, 1947. Mr. and Mrs. Allen spent their entire married life in the Hale community, where Mr. Allen was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Tina Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife; twin sons, Don Allen and Dan Allen of the home; four brothers, the Rev. Francis Allen of Holt, Milton Allen of St Louis, Chester Allen of Hale and Ed Allen of Beatty, Nev.; two sisters, Mrs. Emmitt Cowgill of Norman, Okla., and Mrs. Murrell Wade of Hollywood, Calif."
