THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, December 25, 1998, page 4B: ‘Ouida Mae Emert, 83, of Paris died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at Paris Nursing Home. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, at Gene Roden’s Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Miller officiating. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery. She was born July 18, 1915, in Cooper to Walter P. and Bertha Harris Duckett. She married Jess William Emert Dec. 11, 1933. He died May 20, 1990. She had worked in the auditing department at Braniff Airways. She enjoyed world traveling, sewing and gardening and working with St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary. She was a Methodist. Surviving are sons Victor R. Emert of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Pat A. Emert of Dallas; a sister, Waltine Edmondson of Paris; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Alan and Eric Emert, Brent and Chris Brown, Ben Shrake and Ed Edmondson.
