"William Barker, Sr. was born near Ashboro, Randolph County, North Carolina on October 3, 1772. He was the son of Samuel Barker and his wife, Margaret Greenfield Barker. He was a grandson of Daniel and his wife Elizabeth Nichols Barker. William Barker came to Indiana in December, 1831 (2?) He died in Center Valley, Hendricks County, Indiana on May 8, 1849. He is buried just west of the Center Valley cemetery which is located on SR 39, His grave sits on the southside of a lake on a farm. William Barker's wife, Mary, died before he came to Indiana. She died in North Carolina. Their children were:
*Hannah, born 9/26/1797 in North Carolina. She married John Fox on 11/21/1820 in Randolph County, North Carolina. Hannah Barker Fox died on 7/5/1864 in Washington Township, Hendricks County, Indiana. Her husband, John Fox, was born in 1802 in Chatham County, North Carolina and he died in Washington Township, Hendricks County, Indiana on 8/21/1868. They both are buried on State Road 267 about 2 miles south of Avon, Indiana in the Gossett Cemetery.
*William Barker, Jr. was born 12/7/1802 in Randolph County, North Carolina and died 3/25/1876.
*Robert Jordan Barker born 1810 in Randolph County, North Carolina. He married Dorcas Gossett when ? He died in Hendricks County, Indiana in 1894,
*Samuel Barker. He died 3/17/1873 in Hendricks County, Indiana.
*Mary Barker married Francis McDaniel.
*Sarah Barker married a Toller.
*John Barker".

Additional information received from a suggested edit for Mary Barker (199296274), Contributor: Natalie (48324155) writes: "In the write up about WIlliam Barker, his mother needs to be changed to Rebecca Woolson Barker. Margaret Greenfield Barker had died, and Samuel Barker had remarried in Dec 1771. William was born Sept 3, 1772. There were marriage records online. Andrew Houk had done a lot of good work, I have a copy of his genealogy work too, but there were a couple of errors. It's still very helpful. Thanks.
