Funeral services for Abner Morris Dorris, 69, who died Monday night at Greenwood Leflore Hospital after a brief illness, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Williams and Lord Funeral Chapel.

A native of Montgomery County, Mr. Dorris had lived in Greenwood for the past 33 years. He had been in the grocery business before his retirement in 1976. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of Eastgate Baptist Mission.

Mr. Dorris is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice McBride Dorris; one son, Jerry Dorris of Greenwood; two daughters, Mrs. Jean Thomas and Mrs. Linda D. Green, both of Greenwood; three grandchildren; five brothers, Sammy Dorris of Decatur, Percy Dorris of Potts Camp, Hugh Dorris and W. C. Dorris Jr., both of Holly Bluff, and Marion Dorris of Jackson; and three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Thornton of Jackson, Mrs. Mary Bell Carwile of Memphis and Mrs. Lorene McCormick of South Carolina.

The Rev. Charles Faust will officiate at services. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery.
