Frances Jean Gibler, 82, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at her residence.

She was born January 31, 1936, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Frances Etheleen (Lister) and her husband Boyd Swearingen.

She was united in marriage on March 28, 1954, in Jefferson City, to William Richard Gibler who preceded her in death on April 23, 2010.

Jean spent most of her life caring for her family as a living wife, mother, and grandmother. She also enjoyed reading in her spare rime.

She was a member of Community Christian Church in Jefferson City.

Survivors include three children, Lisa (Jeff) Williams, California; Tim Gibler, Jefferson City; Tom Gibler, Jefferson City; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Glenda Rananargar.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2018, at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville with a memorial service following at 4 p.m. with Rev. Bethany Imbler officiating.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association.

Scrivner- Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville is in charge of the arrangements.
