Leroy W. Lindauer, 74, passed away at 4:15 PM Saturday June 16, 2007 at the home of his daughter, Nancy Wheeler in Troy after a short illness. Leroy was born May 10, 1933 in Ferdinand, Indiana son of the late Oliver and Hazel (Whipking) Lindauer.


Also preceding him in death were four sisters, Mary Margaret Lindauer in infancy, Caroline Vaught, Anna Marie DeWeese, and Virginia Lindauer, two brothers, Ralph "Curly" and Ivo Lindauer, and a great grandson, Maddix Edwin Cole.


A United States Naval veteran of the Korean War, he worked at Maxon Marine Industries for twenty years. He also had worked Valley Supply and Lindauer Heating. He was a retired boilermaker and a member of American Legion Post # 213 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 2939. On November 10, 1956 he was united in marriage to Gloria Lorenz. Leroy enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his family and his faithful dog "Rowdy".
