Van Buren--- Dale L. Martin, 55, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in Caribou. He was born November 23, 1960 in Van Buren, a son of the late Rudolph and Jeannine (Madore) Martin.

Dale enlisted with the US Navy in 1979, serving stateside. He worked many years with Maine Military, Limestone, as an auto body technician and previously worked with his brothers as a carpenter. He was a kind soul and was happy to give the shirt off his back if it would help. He enjoyed ATV rides, fishing, and traveling the interstate to visit his daughters and grandchildren in southern Maine and visiting the beach.

He is survived by: two daughters, Amanda Martin and Nicole Martin and her longtime companion Larry Pryor, all of Sanford; three grandchildren, Chase, Sierra and Abbigail; seven siblings, Clayton Martin, Sandra Martin and her companion David Neal, all of Van Buren, Diane Caron and her husband Richard of Grand Falls, NB, Canada, Wayne Martin and his wife Denise of Hamlin, Rudy Martin and his wife Nancy of Caswell, Elden Martin and his companion Tina Rossignol of Bridgton, and Denise Martin of Van Buren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
