Rev. Soranus Clayton Corbin was the son of Simeon James and Marbery (Carpenter) Corbin. He was born at Corbin's Corners and was the eldest of 11 children. He was the husband of Zora E. (Crimps) Wood Corbin. They were married February 7, 1855. Zora died December 12, 1895. Rev. Corbin was a minister in the Black River Conference and Northern New York Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church
