Memorial is based upon his burial, his will and the burial records of wives (#1 Izabell Redshaw m 1636, #2 Widow Elizabeth Cooke m 1665) and child in this parish.

His burial in 1670:
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Throop-30
"[1669] Lo[und] - Bur[ial] William Throop Senex was Buryed the -- 28 Jan[uar]ii"

Wife's burial transcription in the parish of Sutton-cum-Lound:
"Isabell Throope, wife of William" buried 22 June 1658.

She died only 3 days after one of her children died (possibly due to childbirth) according to a burial transcription in the parish of Sutton-cum-Lound:
"Child of William Throope" buried 19 June 1658.

William Throope's will (dated 2 Dec 1669 in Lound and probate date 23 November 1670 in Retford):
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Will_of_William_Throope_of_Lound%2C_Nottinghamshire%2C_1670
"Imprimis it is my will that if my son William Throope do return into his native country that he shall enjoy an equal proportion with the rest of my children."
(Other children listed: Mary, Isabel, George, John, Thomas.)

Baptism of child William on 19 Mar 1636/7 (meaning 1637) about 9 months AFTER the 1636 marriage of his parents in Sutton-cum-Lound original parish register:
Image: https://www.ancestrylibrary.com/discoveryui-content/view/1129322:61838 . Explanation:
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Throop-30
"On 9 June 1636, William married Izabell Redshaw. From the original parish register of Sutton cum Lound (which is a combined register with all events entered chronologically): [1]
[1636 heading] Lound - Wed - William Throope of Haiton and Izabell Redshaw of Lound were married - June 9no

A little over nine months later, their first child was baptised on 19 March 1636/7[1]:
[1636 heading] Lound - Bap: William ye son of William Throope & Izabell his wife baptized ye 19 th of March - 19no"

"Bishops Transcripts vs Original Register
In the Bishop's Transcripts reviewed by Family Search the marriage record and the baptismal record of their first child appear on the same image of the original Church Register. This has led to the mistranscription of the baptism of their first child, William as occurring more than two months before their wedding[4]. A review of the original register has confirmed the dates as outlined in the biography above."
[The original parish register is the actual baptism. A bishop's transcript is only a list sent to the bishop of all the year's births, deaths, marriages copied out onto one page. All 1s on the bishops transcript image have lines at top and bottom, just like the 1s on Times New Roman font. Familysearch misinterpreted a 1 for a 2. Familysearch issued an incorrect bishops transcript indexed record with incorrect date "29" (which falsely changes the year of the birth because 29 Mar 1636 falls in the year 1636 before the marriage and the real date of the baptism is 19 Mar 1636 which falls in the year 1637 after the marriage), proved wrong by viewing the actual original parish register in Nottinghamshire.]

Baptism of child William on 19 Mar 1636/7 (meaning 1637) in Sutton-cum-Lound per TAG article Proposed English Origin of William Throop of Barnstable MA:
"William Throope and Isabell Redshaw, m. 9 Jun 1636"
"William Throop, son of William, bp 19 Mar 1636/7"
"William Throop, baptized in Sutton-Cum-Lound in 1637"

[NOTE: For an explanation of why the baptism on 19 Mar1636/7 is 1637 according to the current calendar ("double-dating"), see:

"Be careful when looking for any ancestor born prior to 1753 whose date of birth falls between 1 January and 25 March. For example, if you are looking for an ancestor born in February 1752, the actual date today would be recorded as February 1753. If you are not aware of this difference, you may very well end up looking for a genealogy record in the wrong year!" (The baptism is in sequence after February 1637 in the Bishop's Transcript image.)]

(Child William married Mary Chapman in 1666 in Barnstable, MA; he never returned to "his native country." But the fact that his father's will mentioned him by name and also mentioned that he had emigrated, is excellent RECORD EVIDENCE linking him to his parents, William Throope and Izabell Redshaw.

"Had his son been expected back, he would've just left him his portion. Ergo, he had emigrated and was not expected back; his son was a puritan, became a deacon in that church and had broken with his father, who was an Anglican churchwarden in England. At this point Plymouth is hardcore puritanism. He was not going to come back to a country where he would have been persecuted for his beliefs. The ten months between death and probate would be long enough for letters to have crossed to New England and back confirming he was not returning." )
