Adolphus Marion Byrum was born on August 24, 1871 in Tennessee, the son of James A Byrum (1847–1894) and Tamer Anne (Dempsey) Byrum (1851–1923).
He was married to Mary Carson (1878–1964), the daughter of David Woodson Carson (1836–1911) and Louisa (Caplener) Carson (1835–1901).
A general building carpenter living on Two Mile Pike in Goodlettsville, Adolphus was 80 years old and married when he died at home of myocarditis on August 24, 1951. Burial was the next day in Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison {city, not county}.
