Mary Carrell, 94, of Dallas, Texas passed away May 9, 2019. She was born October 8, 1924 to Ward Blaylock and Helen Scott in Galveston, with a heart defect which should have kept her from living; but her will to live was so strong that she lived well past her 94th birthday.

In the fall of 1942 she married the love of her life, Bruce Ellis Carrell, known affectionately to all as Tubby in San Diego. She worked in the life insurance industry during most of her career and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her only child, Anne. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Marie Black, stepfather, Ray Duvall, many aunts and uncles, her cousin, Burnettie and great-great-nephew, Quinn.

Funeral service will be May 13, 2019 at Restland. Graveside service will follow immediately.
