She attended Sussex Central High School, where she graduated with the Class of 1988. Debra was a very independent woman and worked very hard throughout her life. She was previously employed with The Hon Company in Chester, Va., the Antioch Company in Colonial Heights, Va., Stamptech of Georgia, and Hunter Douglas in Georgia.
Many people knew Debra to be a very serious, but outgoing person. She had a very quiet spirit, but yet a loud laugh that would bring joy to anyone who was around.
Debra was preceded in death by her two grandmothers, Nellie Meade and Elenora Spratley; two grandfathers, George Meade and Cleveland Lacey; one great-grandmother, Mert Taylor; two aunts, Mildred M. Prosise and Sadie Holloway; three uncles, King Meade, Wesley Meade, and Robert Meade.
She is survived by and leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted and loving daughter, Ronisha Brown; devoted mother, Sallie Meade Tucker; devoted father, Calvin Taylor; devoted step-father, Wayne Tucker, as well as her devoted godmother, Shirley Meade.
She also leaves her memories with two sisters, one brother, a devoted aunt, niece, nephew, cousins, and friends.
Services were held November 7, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Jarratt, Va. The interment followed in the church cemetery.
