Mrs. Jordan died Friday, May 10, 2019 at a hospice facility in Tyler, Texas. She was born in Kilgore, Texas on October 19, 1936 to the late Sanders Delone and Evelyn Susie (Gunn) Price.
Mrs. Jordan, a longtime resident of Lindale, was a member of the Central Baptist Church. As a dedicated educational professional, she taught for several years at John Tyler high school before becoming an administrator. She served there for 19 years until she became the principal in 1986 at Lindale Junior High, serving until her retirement in 2001.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Holbrook in 1997 and Cliff Jordan in 2008, and by her brother, Sandy Price.
Mrs. Jordan is survived by her son, Ben Mayfield and wife, Betty of Prosper; daughter, Kim Bryan and husband, Matt of Whitehouse; sister, Carolyn Grimm and husband, Ron of Georgia; four grandchildren, Meagan Blanscet and husband, Mark of Little Elm; Kristen Mayfield of Frisco; Peyton and Price Bryan of Whitehouse; two great grandsons, Kaden and Luke Blanscet of Little Elm, with one due in September; and several nephews.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Central Baptist Church in Lindale.
