Harvey Jay House, 55, Akron, a native of Coshocton county, died at 2:15am today in the Marshall Nursing Home in Columbus following a lingering illness. Born in Roscoe May 28, 1900, he was a son of Florus A. and Emma Stacer House. Mr. House was a radio and television salesman at Akron. He was a member of the Salvation Army. Surviving are his mother, who lives at 1655 Elm st. here, four sons, Miley J. and Robert of Willoughby, Harvey Jr. of Wilmington, Delaware, and John of Rome, N.Y.; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Groves of Willoughby; four sisters, Mrs. Roland Hughes of Jamaica, N. Y., Mrs. Fred Fahey of Columbus; Miss Weltha House of Setauket, Long Island, N. Y.; Mrs. Joseph Carpenter, Route 4, and 17 grandchilden. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death. Services will be held from the Glass funeral home Wednesday at 1pm. Major Alvin Youtzy will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Chapel cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm Tuesday and Wednesday until the time of the service.
