When You Died
To my husband: N.E. Woody Pendleton -6/26/1946--5/8/2019
When you died I wanted to write a poem about my love
But all I could do was to think how much I loved you and how much I missed you
What do I miss?
I miss your beautiful brown eyes
Your smile
I miss your strong body
And yet your gentleness
I miss your BIG hugs
Your soft skin
How smart you were
How giving you were
How fiercely you loved
You never knew a stranger
I miss how you spoiled me
You were always there for me
actually you were there for a lot of people
How you loved kids
How you could truly do most anything you ever tried
You always had a dream
How you loved our own kids so very much
You always encouraged everyone
You were so protective of those you loved
Family by blood or family by choice
You never saw skin color. NEVER!!!!!
You were never jealous
And you never cheated on me!!
Last but far from least I miss that you were such a mighty, mighty man of God.
Thank you for Loving God so very, very much.
