Retired from Foremost Dairies, member of Liberty United Methodist Church.
Survived by nieces and nephews.
Also predeceased by his siblings, Lela Bernice Chapman Bishop (1893–1972), Clarence Banks Chapman (1898–1944), Boyce Lee Chapman (1902–1977).
Services were held at 3:30 pm, Saturday, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel by Rev. Tom Wilkes, Rev. Brice Blakeney, and Rev. Billy Bagwell; burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends from 7:00 - 8:30 pm, Friday, May 13, 1983, at the chapel.
