John A. Alford, Sr., 76, of Thomasville, GA, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Burial services will be held at Annetta Cemetery on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 10:00am. Mr. Alford was born on July 21, 1942 in Weatherford, TX to the late Frances and Mary Alford. He married Barbara Gooslen Alford, who preceded him in death in 2008. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Stones Building Supply. He was of the Christian faith and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Survivors include a brother Earnest Alford and wife Joyce, children John A. Alford, Jr. (Joan), Donald Alford (Vicky), Greg Boucher, Janet Morgan and Julie Boyon, grandchildren Mallory Pakebusch (Scott), Meagan Alford, Elizabeth Alford, Erin Alford, Matthew Alford, Brittney Doyon, Henry A. Doyon II, Garrett West (Frankie), Ryan West (Meredith), great-grandchildren Danette Grace Pakebusch, Jack Simones and Myles Eugene Carter West. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Alford, sister, Nadine Alford, brother, Clarence (Roy) Alford, brother, James (Shorty) Alford and sister, Twila Ruth (Aunty) Rowell.
