Bramwell L. Hightman, age 75, of Bethesda, MD died on Monday April 15, 2019 at his residence after diagnosed with the complications of diabetes.

Born in Frederick, MD to the late Garland Zecker and Dorothy Imogene (nee Morningstar) Hightman. He graduated from Maryland School for the Deaf in 1962 and Tennessee Temple University with a Seminary diploma in 1984. He had been Associate Pastor for the Deaf at Wheaton Baptist Church for a few years. He also taught the Deaf in Sunday School and loved to serve God by sharing His Good News in the bible with people. He worked for NIST as a custodian for 10 years and retired in 2007. Bramwell was also an active member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in Maryland.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Stephanie A. Hightman of Bethesda; his two aunts, Peggy (the late Gerald) Morningstar of Poolesville and Nancy (and the late Dick) Morningstar of Bradenton, FL; his cousins Steven (Rena) Morningstar of Poolesville, MD, Patrick (Kari) Morningstar of Poolesville, MD, Sharon (Aaron) Wright of Woodbridge, VA and Julia Bellet of Charlotte, NC and all their numerous children and grandchildren. He is also survived by his wife’s siblings, Wayne and Jennifer Lee and David and Angela Tag.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Rockville, 55 Adclare Road, Rockville, MD on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2 p.m. Interment will be private.
