He was a graduate of Mooresville High School, Davidson College, and held a Bachelor of Divinity from Southeastern Theological Seminary. From an early age, he began a 56-year ministry in pastoring several churches across both Virginia and North Carolina. Recognizing a need for the value and efficiency of God’s message, he created a one-minute weekday radio message of hope he called “Moment of Truth”.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hill Kistler; a sister, Doris Sparrow; his children, Kellie Clark (Kenneth), Chad Kistler (Amy) and Travis Kistler; four grandchildren.
Interment will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
