She attended Homer schools. Karen worked as a cook at the Leila Hospital in Battle Creek before it became Bronson. She also worked as a prep cook at Connie's Knife and Fork, and at the Tekon Travel Plaza in Tekonsha. Karen enjoyed playing cards, puzzle books, and being outdoors. She also loved her family and the children.
Karen is survived by her cousins, Lione (Mary) Hoyt of Homer, May Hoyt of Homer, and Terry (Regina) Hoyt of Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Faye and Belle Lindzy; sister, Edna Lindzy; aunt, Irene Hoyt; and uncles, Gerald Rockwell, and Louis Rockwell.
Cremation has been conducted and a graveside memorial service in Karen's honor took place at Fairview Cemetery in Homer on Wednesday May 8, 2019.
Arrangements are by the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, Homer Chapel.
