Dora Jane Quiett Boring was born January 4, 1912 in Blount County, Tennessee. She grew up on Old Piney Road in the Six Mile community of Blount County. She married Author Boring in 1930. Dora went into convulsions during labor. Despite an emergency cesarean section, she and her baby died from complications of Eclampsia. Sadly, except that Eclampsia, if you know or look it up, indicates she died in child birth, her infant is not even mentioned on the death certificate and neither is Dora's name, just identified as Mrs. Author Boring. Dora was buried with her baby in her arms. There is no marker now where they are buried. Family thinks it slid over the edge of cemetery sometime over the years and was not salvaged. But the marker was apparently still there is 1938 because it is recorded in the Tennessee Tombstone Records of Blount County, W. P. A. project 1938 book, page 197..
