Mrs. Lydia (Gladu) Turcotte, 80, wife of Desire Turcotte, formerly of 89 South St., died Monday afternoon at the Jane Brown Hospital, a branch of the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, R. I. Mr. and Mrs. Turcotte had lived with their son, Omer Turcotte in Greenville R.I.

She was born in Wauregan, April 18, 1876, a daughter of Jean Baptiste and Rosalie (Montmarquette) Gladu. Besides her husband and son, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Alice Lefebvre of Providence, and Miss Agnes Turcotte of this city, two sisters, Mrs. Anita Milot and Mrs. Agnes Guilbeault, both of Moosup; 12 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Ann Society of St. Mary's Church here. The funeral will be held from the Bacon Funeral Home, 71 Prospect St., Thursday at 8:15 a.m. with a mass of requiem at St. Mary's Church at 9.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 10 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.
