He leaves behind his wife, VIcki, of 52 years and their three children Tracy Ford of Lee Summit, MO, Danielle (Jarrod) Dolsky of Ketchikan, Alaska, and Stephen (Mendy) Ford of Gladstone, MO and 13 grandchildren, Alyssa, Jackson, Austin, Dylan, Keithley, Kaileigh, Victor, Zechariah, Summer, Raef, Kiera, Ava, and Rhett.
Larry attended Pleasant Hill School District grades 1-12. Then he attended University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO, where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree and Masters' Degree.
He taught for 30 years in the Center School District and coached for 47 years. He was inducted into Center High School's Athletic Hall of Fame in October of 2012. His physical education classes reflected his dedication, hard work, and fairness as well as his sense of humor. His excellence as a physical education teacher and coach can be seen by those students whose lives he touched.
His retirement found him enjoying fishing, going to the casino, and spending time with his family and friends. Visits and phone calls from former students and athletes brought him so much happiness, too.
