Richard L. Hannesson, 48, rural Edinburg, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 1990, in Pembina County Memorial Hospital, Cavalier, N.D.

Richard Lee Hannesson was born Jan. 25, 1942, in Grafton, N.D., the son of Hannes and Sigrid Hannesson. He grew up at Mountain where he graduated from high school. On Feb. 14, 1962, he married Sandra Martin in Cavalier, N.D. He farmed at Mountain until 1983, when he owned and operated Hannesson Trucking.

Survivors are his wife, Sandy; daughter, Leah (Mrs. Warren) Austfjord, Cavalier; sons, Rob and Troy, both at home; three granddaughters; his father, Mountain; and brother, Theo, Gardar, N.D.

He was preceded in death by his mother and an infant brother.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 1990, in Vikur Lutheran Church, Mountain, N.D.
