E. Blake Cooper, 83, Falls Creek(Beechwoods), died Wednesday at Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Born Dec. 8, 1923, in Beechwoods, he was a son of the late Alton B. and Grace Calhoun Cooper. He married Mabel Raybuck Cooper on Sept. 27, 1951. She survives. He was a 1942 graduate of Beechwoods High School. He was a former employee of the Railroad Shop in Dubois, a milk tester for the DHIA, a former foreman for PennDOT, an employee of Wayland Farm Supply and was co-owner of Cooper Farm Market. He was a lifetime member of Beechwoods Presbyterian Church, where he was also an elder, trustee, Sunday school superintendent and treasurer for many years. He was a member of the Odd Fellows in Falls Creek, had all seven degrees in the Grange, was a committee man for the Republican Committee in Jefferson County, was a member of PFB and a member of the PA Vegetable Growers Association. He enjoyed visiting with people at the farm, market and especially the children's tours. He is also survived by three daughters -- Nancy, Sue and Jeanne. A son Robert; a brother, Donald Cooper of Arizona; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Edward M. Cooper; and a brother, Elmer W. Cooper.
