Ferris was born in Lansing, Michigan on October 12, 1913. His family moved to Flint when Ferris was an infant and he has lived here ever since. He married Sue Abdella in 1935. Ferris worked in the grocery business all of his life. His career started at a very early age when he had to quit school to work in the family store. He was one of the founding members of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church. He had a long history as a member of the Parish Council, the Amsyrleb Club and the Morningstar Society. He had a zest for living that was immeasurable. His favorite pastime was playing cards with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue; their grandson, Michael Adado and his sister, Mary Michael.
