Joseph was the son of Joseph, and Esther Henson. His late residence was RFD #1, Aurora, Indiana. He died at Childrens Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio from a ruptured lower spleen acquired from a sledding accident.

Sledding Accident Fatal To Joseph Henson, 10
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Jan. 31, for Joseph Henson, 10, who died at the Childrens hospital in Cincinnati Friday morning. He suffered internal injuries in a sledding accident two weeks ago in the Aurora Southside schoolyard. A kidney specialist had been flown in from Boston the early part of the week for consultation, and he had been in an oxygen tent several hours prior to his death.
The funeral was held from the home of his great-grandmother, Mrs. Emma Kirkpatrick, 111 George street, Aurora and services were held Monday afternoon at the First Baptist church in Aurora. Interment in Riverview cemetery.
Joseph is survived by his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Fogle; a sister, Sherry Henson; a half-sister, and four half-brothers; his grandparents Mrs. Leona Edrington, Aurora, James Edrington, Lockland, O., and Clarence Henson, Lawrenceburg.
