John Edward (Eddie) Bennett 70 passed from this life on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at St. Thomas Highland Hospital in Sparta, Tennessee. Mr. Bennett was born in the Lost Creek Community of White County, Tennessee, May 17, 1948 to Paul Bennett and Alice Tolbert Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Bennett and Alice Tolbert Bennett: brothers, Harold Bennett and James Bennett.

Eddie is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years Rachel Bennett; brothers, Robert Bennett of White County and Carl Bennett and wife Missy of Warren County; sister, Betty Qualls of White County; special nephew, Zach Bennett of Warren County; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also, his four legged friend Bailey. Services will be conducted at the Thurman Funeral Home. Officiating will be Bro. Brent Tevebaugh. Interment will follow at Copeland Chapel Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Zach Bennett, Don Bennett, Dale Bennett, Billy Bilbrey, Johnny Kreis and Dallas Sullivan.  Thurman Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
