Geraldine Eliza Neilson (Gerry) Larsen, 73, of Orem died Friday, September 15, 1995 of cancer.

She was born April 17, 1922 in Chino Valley, Ariz., a daughter of Leslie Thomas and Lucy Eagar Neilson. She married Earle S. Larsen July 11, 1939 in Prescott, Ariz. The marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa LDS Temple.

She leaves to her family and friends a legacy of love, compassion and service. She worked by her husband's side in his accounting practice until his ill health, then she became a therapeutic recreational technician. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She worked with the youth and in genealogy. She was a Golden Gleaner and served a full-time mission with her husband in the Florida Ft. Lauderdale Mission. Her community service focused on the handicapped and aging. While living in Prescott she produced several "Forever Young" benefit shows. She was the high school PTA president and worked for the Prescott Chamber of Commerce. Since, 1976 she has lived in Orem. She was a delegate to the National Conference on Aging in St. Louis. Gerry and her family give special thanks to Dr. Kent Marshall and home health nurses, Karen Spear and Connie Measom and her aide, Pattie Swenson and other staff members at Horizon Home Health Care.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Earle S. and Carolin Larsen, Lindon; Karol and Glen Palmer, Genelle and Daniel Pugmire, Martha Larsen, all of Orem; Leanne and Leon Adams, Citrus Heights, CA; Jared K. and Sandra Larsen, Rialto, CA; 24 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Lucile Johnson, Prescott Valley, Azriz.; Helen Densmore, Prescott, Ariz.; and Tom Neilson, Camp Verde, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her husband, and two sisters, Fae Baker and Betty Lou Hightower.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 19, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sharon First Ward Chapel, 641 South 400 East, Orem. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 600 East 800 North, Orem, and Tuesday at the ward chapel from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
