Charles "Charlie" Newton Crow was born on May 25, 1906, in Kentucky. He is the son of Jacob “Jake” U Crow and Martha Lee Hilbert Crow. His siblings are James David Crow, John Wesley Crowe, Harvey P Crow, Ernest Clifton Crowe, and William McKinley Crowe. He married Ruth Frances Westerfield. They had three children; Elmer Cleo Crowe, Virginia Carroll Crowe, and Arliss Eugene Crowe. He died as a young father on November 27, 1931, in Boyle, Kentucky, at the age of 25 from Typhoid Fever.

Following an illness of typhoid fever, Mr. Charles Crowe, 25 years of age died Friday at his home near Mitchellsburg. Surviving him is his wife, with a small daughter and son, his parents, Mr. and Mrs, Jacob Crowe and several brothers and sisters. Burial took place today at Chambers cemetery near Salem church.
