Viewing 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.; service 10 a.m. Friday, both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta; burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Wichita. Margaret was born July 20, 1918 in Augusta, daughter of the late James Noah and Lulu Maude (Jackson) Meacham. She is survived by sons, Curtis Payne and wife, Linda of Wichita, W. Keith Payne and wife, Joean of Independence; daughter, Carol Morgan and husband, Wayne of Benton; Mary Payne Brown of Wichita; sister, Mildred Turner of Chandler, Ariz.; grandchildren, Brian Payne, Kevin Payne, Ronnie Payne, Shelley Kurek, Christy Payne Baughman, Tina Clark, Kellie Kirk, Alan Fonentot, Kenneth Gile, Randy Morgan, Ronda Tackett, Lois, Lisa and Linda Forward; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by husbands, Walter Payne and Leonard Rhoads; sons, Kenneth R. Payne, Dale Eugene Payne and Lewis Forward; grandchild, Raymond Forward; brothers, James, Kenneth, Bill and Austin Meacham; sisters, Nettie Carr, Daisy Pedigo, Betty Thompson, Ruth Payne, Marie Rhoads, Pauline McKee.
