Jesse Hart Dies; Rites Set Sunday
Jesse B. Hart Jr., 62, of 779 College St., died in a local hospital at 4:20 p.m. yesterday after an extended illness.
Mr. Hart, president of the Hart Loan and Trust Co., was a lifelong resident of Bibb County, the son of Mrs. Nena Kersh Hart and the late Jesse Bowen Hart. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 997; the Macon Moose Lodge 1455; The American Legion Post 3, the 40 and 8; the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks and a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Henry Janssen, Macon; two grandchildren, Bruce Janssen and Joane Janssen, both of Macon; mother, Mrs. Jesse B. Hart, Macon; a sister, Mrs. Carolyn Hart McClancy, Macon; a brother, Theodore M. Hart, Macon; and a niece, Mrs. Bernard Todd, Lake Charles, La.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary. Dr. Maurice Trimmer will officiate and burial will be in the Mausoleum at Riverside Cemetery.
