Sarah Spader Allen

Age 80, passed away September 17, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born February 28, 1915 in Tooele, Utah to Francois and Gerritje Spitters (Spader). Married Norman R. Allen February 28, 1937. She was a registered nurse and worked and earned her R.N. at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City.

For many years she taught the Blazer group in Primary, served on her Stake Primary Board, was Den Mother for many Cub Scouts, trained horses, cheered her children at swim meets and horse shows and meticulously gardened her acre of land. She loved children, horses, poetry, education and the out-of-doors.

Survived by children, Richard N., Tooele; Norma Boyce, Salt Lake City; Kenneth (Trudy), Reno, Nevada; Randy, West Valley City; and Dona, North Salt Lake City; sister, Frances Newbold (James), Bountiful. Preceded in death by her husband.

The family wishes to thank those who have cared for Sarah in the last year, especially the staff of the special care unit at South Valley, and Tereasa, with Home Health Care Services.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 23, at 10 a.m., at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Rd., where family and friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will immediately follow services under the direction of Memorial Estates.
