A native of Medina County, he was born November 30, 1933, the son of the late Dorothy Irene Giar and Billy Jr Gallatin.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Billie Bryce Gallatin, in 1995; and a brother Thomas Allen Gallatin in 1991.
Survivors include two sons, Lance Gallatin and Jimmy Gallatin; one daugter; Vickie; a brother, Edwin Gallatin; and a sister, Norma.
