George W. Drum was the founder and president of the Crosley Car Owners Club (CCOC) in 1952. He passed on at 72 on Tuesday, December 16, 1997. During World War II, he served with the United States Navy, and later lived at 304 North Poplar Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was a carpet sales representative for several years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. C. E. Drum, his brother Terrell Drum, and sister Elizabeth "Vi" Harris. His survivors included his brother Rayford J. Drum of Kinston, NC and several nieces and nephews. Services were conducted from the graveside at 10 AM on Tuesday, December 23, 1997 at the Sharon Memorial Park. Harry & Bryant Company served the family of Mr. George W. Drum.
