Funeral will be at 2 p.m. May 5, 1994, at Caldwell's Colonial Chapel with burial in Rose City Cemetery.

Mr. Adkins died April 24, 1994, of causes related to age. He was 88.

He was born Nov. 3, 1905, in Gales Creek, and had lived in Portland for more than 50 years.

He worked for Frank Chevrolet for 40 years and retired in the early 1970s as general manager. He later became customer service manager for Jubitz Truck Stop.

He was a member of the First Christian Church for about 50 years.

Surviving are his wife of more than 60 years, Constance; daughter, Marilyn Thelen of Portland; sister, Esther Bullock of Albany; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
