Dick Vaughan, 78, passed away on July 29, 2005 at his home in Yuma. He was born in Hayden, Arizona on December 27, 1926. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army on December 31, 1946 and received a Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He graduated in 1949 from A.S.U. and received his C.P.A. in 1951. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Yuma and Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was also a partner in Schwark, Vaughan and Perry from 1962-1998.
Dick is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Vaughan, of Yuma; daughters, Sandy Rodriguez, of Fallbrook, Calif., Cindy Shepardson, of Tustin, Calif., and Sherry Barrett, of Tucson, Ariz.; brother, Keith Vaughan, of Gilbert, Ariz.; and 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Artie Vaughan and sisters, Eloise Vaughan and Connie Schwark.
Visitation will be held at Johnson Mortuary on July 31, 2005 from noon to 2 p.m.
His ashes will be dispersed in a private ceremony.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Yuma, 1824 S. 8th Ave., Yuma.
