William Barton, 82, of 703 Benton street, Eldorado, died at 8 a.m. today at the Eldorado Nursing Home.
He was born in Posey county, Ind., the son of the late Alfred and Lucinda Pickes Barton.
Survivors include two brothers, Lewis Barton, Eldorado, and John Barton, Alton, and two sisters, Mrs. Becca Knotter, Mt. Vernon, Ind., and Mrs. Sally Rhine, Wood River.
The body will lie in state at the Rodgers Funeral Home in Eldorado, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. L. B. Walkington, pastor of the First Methodist Church at Eldorado, will officiate. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery
