Wright E. Turner 1-30-1965
Wright E. Turner, 83, of 489 10th Street, Clearfield, died Saturday at 1:25 a.m. in the Clearfield Hospital. Born at Reynoldsville, April 3, 1881, he was the son of the late Ellis B. and Elvona (Thompson) Turner. Mr. Turner was a retired foreman from the Harbison-Walker Refractories Co. Mr. and Mrs. Tuner would have been married 60 years on June 14. He was a member of 100 Lodge and a charter member of the Emmanual Methodist Church for over 60 years. He was a member of the Official Board, the church choir and a former Sunday School teacher. In addition to his wife, the former Dora Kyler, he is survived by the following children: William, Johnstown; Mrs. Carl (Dorothy) Walther, Mrs. Clair (Vera) Jury and Mrs. Joseph Edward (Nelly) Hall, all of Clearfield; Mrs. Wilfred (Leota) Davis, Mt. Rainer, Md.; and Mrs Robert (Geraldine) Bradshaw, North Palm Beach, Fla. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Verna DeLancy of Detroit, Michigan. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the Bennett Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph S. Krouse officiatine. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
