Wilbur “Bud” Theadore Isgett Jr., 78, of Quinton, VA, passed away April 18, 2019. Bud was well known throughout the community for having owned and operated “Bud’s Grocery” for over 25 years, “The Old Home Place”, “Bud’s Other Place” and finally working at Quinton Hardware for 15 years. He was a self-proclaimed “egg and chicken man” and would gladly give the shirt off his back to help a friend or stranger in need. Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Isgett. He is survived by two daughters, Sheila Isgett-Lewis and Teresa Popejoy (Terry); three brothers, Wimpy Isgett (Shirley), Terry Isgett (Carol) and Kim Isgett (Darlene); five grandchildren, Lee, Roxanne, Julia, E.J., Jaelyn and numerous cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held 2 PM Wednesday, April 24th at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA. Burial will follow in Providence United Methodist Church cemetery, Quinton, VA. The family will receive friends 5-8 PM Tuesday, at the funeral home.
