Henry C. McMullen born March 1834 in Rochester, NY. He died May 18, 1905 in the Erie County Hospital a/k/a poor house or almshouse. He was buried May 20, 1905 . It is stated on his death certificate and the Poor house Ledger that he was buried in Mt. St. Joseph's Cemetery in Buffalo. St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Main St. was next to the poor house. It has been said that the priests of St. Joseph’s Church played an active role in serving the needs of the Catholic inhabitants at the poorhouse. It has now been found in the Poorhouse Mortality Register, that Henry McMullen died at the age of 70 from tuberculosis on May 18, 1905 and was claimed by friends (family) and buried elsewhere (Akron). Henry is believed to be the "unmarked McMullen grave" in St. Theresa's Cemetery. He is buried next to his brothers and sister.
